Removal Process for Occupants, Less Than 30-Days
An “Occupant” is defined in CA Civil Code Section 799.28 as “the owner of a recreational vehicle who has occupied a lot in a park for 30 days or less.”
Terminology can be key when getting law enforcement to assist. When hearing the word “eviction” law enforcement automatically thinks “court proceedings.” However, for guests who have been in your park for less than 30 days, the courts are not involved. Make sure to ask for law enforcement’s assistance for “removing” guests with either of the 72-hour notices or the Depart by Specified Date.
